Dr. Ellis is a Senior Global Managing Director and Global Economist at DE, specializing in the economies of the U.S., Canada and Japan, and fixed income markets, U.S. and worldwide.

Prior to joining Decision Economics, Dr. Ellis served as a Senior Economist with Lehman Brothers, where he advised major clients and Lehman professionals in the capital markets and investment banking divisions, acting as liaison to the equity and foreign exchange trading desks, and was the editor of a number of Lehman Global Economics periodical publications. Dr. Ellis' earlier experience in the investment community includes serving as Vice President and Economist for Chase Manhattan Bank, where he supported the Treasury primary dealership, foreign exchange, and money market desks. He also worked as an Associate Economist for A. Gary Shilling and Company, where he advised industrial and institutional investment clients.

Dr. Ellis has made numerous appearances on CNBC and CNN, also is frequently cited in the news media. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
